How it works

Teachers can choose which schools they want to accept classes from by clicking on icons on a map. The system then displays unfilled jobs from the selected schools and the ten nearest schools. Teachers select classes just by clicking on the boxes. The system then sends out emails to the casual teacher and to the co-ordinator. Classes are automatically deleted after the class actually occurs.

Co-ordinators can create classes for their school, and monitor which teachers have accepted these classes. The teacher’s contact details are supplied to the co-ordinator for additional information.

Admins can authorize all three different types of users. Users cannot log in until their accounts are authorized, to ensure they are an actual casual teacher. The system archives data on classes, and it is downloadable in JSON format by admins.

The user interface is designed to be simple and easy to use, but this requires a complex backend system to create an effective interface.
